Better Futures

We have set up a social enterprise called Better Futures for Gamblers. The purpose is to enable the church to help people with gambling addictions.  There are 1.3 million people in the UK who either have a clinical level gambling problem, or are in the "at risk" category - that's 1 in 36 adults. We know there is a huge need out there, and we have a passion to meet it. 

The idea is that if someone needs help with their gambling habit, we link them up with a befriender from the church. The befriender helps them work through some accredited self help materials, and is a shoulder to lean on. The course lasts 4 weeks, but then the person can get further help from the church if they want to after that. If there is someone you know who could do with help, or if you want more information...
