Endless ocean

The words of a song by Jonathan Helser celebrating the love of God. He sings “You are endless ocean, bottomless sea,” and the lines that caught my attention were

All those angels, they are swimming
In this ocean and they still can find no shore

How great is the love that God has for us. Love with no boundaries, no limits, no end. This is no passive love. It is passionate, generous, unfailing, outrageous…and we are invited to experience it, explore it and enjoy it for all eternity. So why hesitate, why stick to the shallows…what’s the worst that can happen? We can drown in this love, or float in it, become marinated in it, find ourselves lost in it! This sounds like an invitation to me and everything within me says “Yes!”
