Celebration, Kenya style
It was amazing to see people celebrate someone else's blessing so wholeheartedly!
One good thing leads to another
This is RUSH's vision playing out - helping people to help themselves.
One ambulance - check!
Whoever uses this ambulance will not only receive medical attention on the way to hospital, but they will be prayed for too.
My friend Andrew
Andrew is a friend of mine who was told some years ago that unless he had major surgery to remove a tumor he would die. We prayed that God would heal him, and the morning of the operation the surgeon decided to re-run all the tests.
A shoe tax
We have a theory that the more pairs of shoes you own, the more comfortably off you are. So we invited members of Salisbury Vineyard Church to donate a sum of money (they got to decide how much) per shoe that they owned.
Wheelbarrow upgrade?
Butere is a town that lies approximately 45 minutes drive from Kakamega. Kakamega is the nearest hospital. For those who cannot afford a taxi, the choice is to walk, to hope for the best…or to go by wheelbarrow.
Happy Birthday
This month RUSH celebrates its 12th Birthday. What this means is that everyone is invited for lunch and gifts are given to those who are in most need.
Miraculous Provision
Yesterday, Lucy was driving some of the children home after school. The fuel light came on in the car and so they stopped at the petrol station.
The school that RUSH built
100 children crammed into tiny classrooms with very little natural light. Since then Andrew & Lucy have been very busy.
The RUSH pub
When RUSH first started, Andrew & Lucy took on the tenancy of a pub. They were so effective at sharing Jesus’ love with customers that many of them became Christians.
